KAVI YOGA is yoga in its broadest definition - healing, empowerment, and clarity. Our lives have gotten so much busier than when the original yogis and sages walked the earth, but their systems and methodologies of healing have stood the test of time. It is no secret our generation is in overdrive, sympathetic nervous system operating full throttle - the fight or flight mode - to cope with daily life, leading to a myriad of health issues. How do we reset this? we can't change the world, but we can start with ourselves. The key lies in the kind of mind we can bring to each situation: restless or peaceful. By learning the many tools of yoga to embrace our experience with a peaceful mind, we are no longer at the mercy of whatever circumstances life brings our way. Life unfolds more gracefully, and with clear purpose. A calm mind is fit for any path; A steady, stable, body at ease, can flex with the wind. For me, it's all about you: your life, happiness, health, and your soul's path. As an experienced facilitator and educator, I provide support for you to reveal and nurture your best self. I also understand my limitations, and there will be circumstances where other modalities are identified as being possibly offering better solutions, here referrals to other practitioners are suggested when needed.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga according to the scriptures, is a complete path leading to physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual illumination. Yoga means 'union', and yoga practices help us come to the realisation that there is a connection among the different aspects of ourselves. The full practice combines asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), concentration, and meditation. It may also include mantra (sound), bhanda (locks), and mudra (hand gestures).
A dedicated and specific practice of Hatha Yoga can make a positive impact on your overall well being, as was the original intent of yoga sadhana. The practice is the teacher, and will guide, move, and grow with you. Utilising an aspect of the sister science of Ayurveda, together we design and develop your personal practice, reviewing and adjusting, as you reach your goals. 1:1 or small group sessions from 60-90 mins work well in establishing and maintaining your bhakti (devotion) and santati (continuity). Workshops and themed series are currently under creation. I am open to collaborations and regular studio based teaching opportunities.

Yoga Nidra ...described as the sleep of the yogis, or to sleep on a cloud of yoga, is both a process and a state: and through being guided in a systematic approach, you can experience a state of complete effortlessness of body, mind, and breath. When practiced regularly, this technique can be as restorative as sleep, offering physical healing and cognitive benefits while remaining fully conscious. Our lives are often time poor and sleep deprived, therefore the space we create to replenish ourselves needs to be efficient and effective.
Yoga Nidra is a guided process that can be practiced at any time during the day (2-3 hours away from food and caffeine), and before bed. Gentle yoga movements and simple breath work as preparation make these 30-60 minute sessions sublime, nurturing, and beneficial.

Sound Healing
Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. Healing processes are initiated through the unique tones that work to restore the normal vibratory frequencies, and to create the perfect state for deep meditation, creative thinking and intuitive messages, waking up our ability to hear with more than our ears. We feel the sound as much as we take it in with our ears. People generally report feeling 'clearer' in body and mind after a session.
The bowls can be used both on and around the body and the IASH protocol system I am trained in offers a range of treatment options. Koshi chimes, Kalimba, Ocean drums, Djembe are other instruments used in the sound healing. Group sound baths and individual sessions are very powerful healing experiences. Coaching and Mentoring
Many of us are realising we're not working in a way that is aligned with our passion. Coaching is a method of unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping someone to learn, rather than teaching them. Person centered coaching comes from the belief that the person talking has the answers they need inside themselves. Talking to someone who is actively listening, with objectivity, kindness, and compassion, is often what we really need to get some perspective and possibly consider a new direction.
Mentoring is all about sharing knowledge, experience and expertise; a good mentor has the knowledge, experience and expertise that is relevant to the development of the mentee, and has the interpersonal skills required to effectively share these resources. I offer a sounding board, support, some reflection tools and strategies to assist in shining a light on the path to clarity and resolution, one step at a time. Together we decide if coaching or mentoring is the most beneficial for your growth. Individual 60 minute sessions or packages for multiple sessions are available, with 2-3 initially suggested to understand if a longer program is required.
